Implant supported bridges

When 3 or more side-by-side teeth are missing, an implant-supported bridge can be a good option to put them back.

Attaching prostheses together has several advantages:

  • Fewer implants are necessary, decreasing cost.
  • Areas with poor bone can be spanned over, replacing teeth in an area that would not well receive an implant.
  • Dental implants cannot get cavities (although they can get gum disease). This typically means they last longer than a tooth-bourne bridge.
