Caring for and adapting to your fixed, full-arch prosthesis

What to expect after having a full arch of teeth replaced with a fixed, full-arch prosthesis.

Caring for a fixed, full-arch prosthesis
How long will it take to get used to?
As with any new appliance in your mouth, it will take some time to get used to.
How do I clean it?
Meticulously cleaning a fixed, full-arch prosthesis at least twice per day is essential for its longterm health. Using a combination of a soft toothbrush and a WaterPik (using both the standard and implant denture tips) is the most effective means of cleaning your prosthesis.
Do I still need to have my "teeth" cleaned?
Yes, we recommend that you continue to have a professional cleaning twice annually in addition to annual x-rays of your implants and an annual oral cancer screening.
