We continue to provide routine patient care following the recommendations and guidelines from the American Dental Association and the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention. As a healthcare facility, we still have enhanced infection control protocols in place. We require that everyone continues to wear a mask in our office & encourage all of our eligible patients to be vaccinated. Get more information here.

Post-operative care

After a regular cleaning, crown, or filling some tenderness or slight sensivitity for several days can be normal. Below, you can find our post-operative instructions for some of the more involved procedures that our office performs. Of course, please do not hesitate to contact our office if you have a question or concern about any procedure.

Root canal therapy
Generally, pain leading up to root canal therapy is the best predictor of discomfort after root canal therapy. In this handout you can learn about ways to increase both comfort and healting after saving a tooth with a root canal.
Tooth extraction
Having a problem tooth removed is the first step towards healing. This handout goes over important instructions following tooth extraction to increase healing and comfort.
Scaling and root planing
After a deep cleaning, your gums might be sore for a few days. Please note that this is a difference procedure than a routine cleaning, or prophylaxis.
